Dodgers Score: Live Game Updates vs Yankees on Saturday, Grove Returns, Gerrit Cole Pitching for New York

The Dodgers took the series opener 8-4 on Friday night, thanks to a dominant performance by Clayton Kershaw, Mookie Betts and the rest of the LA offense.

The series continues this afternoon at Dodger Stadium with rookie starter Michael Grove (0-1, 8.44 ERA) coming off the injured list to make his first start in more than a month. Aaron Boone sends ace Gerrit Cole (6-0, 2.93 ERA) to the hill in a nationally televised mismatch on FOX.

Here’s a look at the lineup Dave Roberts is sending out there against Cole.

Betts is back in the lineup leading off after his perfect night at the plate on Friday. David Peralta is back in at left field after a night off.

Pitching Matchup

Michael Grove opened the season in the starting rotation and made four starts before a groin injury sidelined him for a month and a half. While his ERA isn’t pretty, most of the damage against him came in his second start of the season against the Arizona Diamondbacks when he allowed 9 runs on 12 hits in a loss. Grove has never faced the Yankees.

Gerrit Cole is plenty familiar with the Dodgers from his time with the Pirates and Astros but makes his first start against LA since joining the Bronx Bombers. In 7 previous starts, he’s 3-2 with a 5.53 ERA against LA.
