The Dodgers got back to .500 with a dub over the Cubs in Chicago. James Outman continues to be HIM and the best rookie on the planet and Max Muncy is cementing himself as a three true outcomes guy while once again tied Pete Alonso at the top of the MLB home run list. Dustin May earned his second win and part of the bullpen continued its season-long struggles.
In other news, old friend and 2020 World Series champ Victor Gonzalez returned to the Dodgers for the first time since 2021 (although he didn’t get into game action today). Dave Roberts dropped updates on Will Smith (who won’t be available on this road trip) and Evan Phillips who won’t be rejoining the team in Chicago after all.
