Dodgers Notes: Caleb Ferguson Breaks Silence, Surprise Cody Bellinger Suitor Emerging, Clayton Kershaw Back in 2025?

The Los Angeles Dodgers reportedly reached an agreement with 10-time All-Star, three-time Cy Young award winner and 2020 World Series champion Clayton Kershaw on Tuesday. The deal will likely become official later this week, but interestingly, it’s not just for 2024.

The contract reportedly includes a player option for 2025, meaning Kershaw could return for his 18th season in Los Angeles, too. But we don’t have to think that far ahead just yet.

In other free agency news, Dodgers top Japanese free agent target (whenever he’s posted) Roki Sasaki was spotted wearing Padres gear, while a surprise suitor has emerged in the Cody Bellinger sweepstakes.

Additionally, recently-traded Caleb Ferguson took to social media to say his thank yous after being dealt to New York.
