Dodgers Notes: Former OF DFA’d, Reliever to IL, Mookie Betts’ Mt. Rushmore of Players
The Dodgers completed their three-game sweep of the Atlanta Braves behind two home runs from Shohei Ohtani. Starter James Paxton also shined for Los Angeles, going 6.2 innings of work, allowing just one run and five hits.
Before the game, Los Angeles got some bittersweet news. They officially activated right-handed reliever Blake Treinen to return but also placed closer Evan Phillips on the injured list.
Manager Dave Roberts praised the team for completely bouncing back following a rough stretch. Yoshinobu Yamamoto is still getting used to life in the big leagues and our very own Doug McKain went behind the scenes are the Dodgers Foundation Gala earlier this week.
