The Dodgers will be able to activate someone off the taxi squad in the event of an injury in between the first and second game.

Those players are pitcher Gavin Stone, catcher Hunter Feduccia and infielder/outfielder Miguel Vargas.

Bobby Miller is in Korea but not among the extras.

Additionally, the Dodgers will be able to reset the roster before their domestic home opener on March 28.

Dodgers Place Blake Treinen on Injured List

Right-handed pitcher Blake Treinen will open the season on the 10-day injured list, as he sustained a bruised lung on a comebacker last week.

The Dodgers were hopeful he’d be able to make the Opening Day roster, but unfortunately, he’s opening the season on the IL.

  1. As a very very long time Dodger fan (my favorite players growing up were Zack Wheat and Dazzy Vance), I think it is time to implement a rule. That is, any Dodger pitcher who walks the lead-off hitter of an inning gets a $25,000 fine. Every time after that, his fine goes up $5,000. The first game of this season, the only two runs scored by the Padres were after lead-off walks. Let the batter hit fungoes but do NOT walk the lead-off hitter!!!!! I wonder how many runs scored last year against the Dodgers by lead-off walks? I don’t care when the lead-off hitter for the Dodgers walks and scores — that’s ok. Thanks for letting me rant.
