Dodgers vs Padres: Latest Betting Odds, Predictions and Picks for September 28

The Dodgers lost last night in a game neither team seemed to want to win. They take on the Padres again in game two of the three-game series, looking to bounce back from a game marred by sloppy defense, anemic offense with runners on base, and three walks in the 10th inning.

Los Angeles will look to right the ship today, and they have the right guy on the mound for that task. Julio Urias will make his 30th start of the season, looking for his 18th win and also looking to lower his league-leading 2.25 ERA.

The Padres will counter with Joe Musgrove, who went through a very rough patch but has bounced back with two great outings. Musgrove had a 4.95 ERA in 14 starts between June 23 and September 11, but he’s allowed just one run in 11 innings over his last two starts.

The Dodgers’ next win will set a new franchise mark for wins in a season, and their magic number to clinch home-field advantage throughout the postseason is four (although they could also get it done with three wins, as that would give them the tiebreaker in a potential matchup with the Astros).
